Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Infant & Toddler Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing learning environment for young children.

Duties:
- Educate and engage preschool-aged children in a variety of activities to promote their physical, social, and intellectual development.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational goals.
- Provide individualized attention to each child, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and learning through play.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support each child's developmental progress.
Skills:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child welfare and development principles.
- Proficiency in lesson planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Background in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
- Ability to provide tutoring or additional support to students as needed.
- Knowledge of physical education practices for young children.
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured yet engaging learning environment.

Ability to Commute:
Classroom Management:
- Work in a team in the classroom and with Little Genius Center for Learning (LGCFL) staff to facilitate and manage the classroom.
- Must display caring, creative personality and take initiative to be a leader in the classroom.
- Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times adhering to OFCS ratio compliance.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- Establish and enforce rules of behavior adhering to the LGCFL Family Handbook
- Provide basic needs for children
- Work with children to improve their social skills and build self-esteem.
- Maintain and provide care for children using responsive discipline and self regulations techniques.
- Maintain inventory for classroom supplies and request items as needed.
Curriculum & Planning:
- Responsible for weekly lesson plans that adhere to the LGCFL Lesson Plan Policy
- Meeting with parents 2x a year for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
- Responsible for implementing a developmentally appropriate, creative, fun-filled curriculum using a variety of educational techniques.
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
- Communicate with families and school administrators using the Procare app for communicating with families, keeping track of daily activities, and documenting learning.
- Implement a consistent routine and give the children a sense of security and stability.
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized classroom
- Prepare detailed and developmentally appropriate lesson plans, using the Creative Curriculum and best practices.
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Assess all new students within the first 45 days using the ASQ
Regulations:
- Be familiar with and comply with all OCFS, DOH, CACFP and LGCFL policies and regulations.
- Maintain training and education requirements
Education Requirements
Must have at least a CDA, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, or 12 credits in Early Childhood.
Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred.
Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
Experience Requirements
Must have at least one year as lead teacher in an early childhood setting. 3+ years preferred.
Education Requirements
Must have at least a CDA, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, or 12 credits in Early Childhood.
