Coaching for early childhood educators and leaders is a proven, effective form of professional development. Research shows that quality coaching leads to sustained, positive change in practice to create the safe, nurturing, and stimulating experiences that young children need.

The Institute has been involved with many aspects of coaching for early childhood education professionals in New York. We have worked closely with state partners to develop the infrastructure needed to recognize coaching as professional development. We have also experimented with providing coaching in different settings and models to determine what is most effective for sustained change and growth.
