Southern Tier Leadership Initiative Book Group: Educated by Tara Westover

 "Educated"  by Tara  Westover.
Join us on May 17th, 31st and June 14th from 6:30pm - 8:00 pm . This interactive, virtual book group will engage leaders to reflect their personal development as a leader and establish the practice of authenticity.

Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University. Only then would she wonder if she’d traveled too far, if there was still a way home.

This Southern Tier Book Group will be limited to the first 15 Southern Tier Leadership Initiative Members.  Those registered will receive a copy of the book at no-cost.  Please register by April 26th to have a copy of the book mailed to you in time for this great discussion.
