The NYC Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program thanks you for expressing interest in our program. We have had an overwhelming response with over 800 applications for 30 seats. The information session aims to give you a clearer understanding of the apprenticeship program, expectations, timelines, and other programs that are a similar, and potentially a better match.
Our events will either be available for English and Spanish speakers. Please select the appropriate information session.
In the NYC Early Childhood Apprenticeship program, funded by a grant through New York City’s Workforce Development Corporation in partnership with the Early Childhood Career Development Center, you’ll be matched with a paid job in an early childhood program or child care center.
You’ll enroll in courses to earn your Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate at the CUNY School of Professional Studies, where your tuition and associated books and fees will be covered. You’ll be paid for training and professional development before you begin working, and you’ll receive a stipend added to your regular wage.
