Description:

The Center Manager is responsible for the management, direction, coordination, and supervision of the Head Start Center. The function of the Center Manager is to: (1) provide leadership in building the organization to be an exemplary Head Start program and the premier child and family development agency on Long Island; (2) assure that all Center operations are in compliance with Federal Head Start Performance Standards and applicable Federal, State and local rules and regulations, and (3) assure they are carried out in an effective and efficient manner and are in accordance with accepted standards and best practice.

Qualifications:

Minimum:  Associates Degree in education, human services, or related field with eight (8) years of experience in the Human Services field and five (5) years in a supervisory role and an approved plan to meet the foregoing preferred requirement.
