Family Help Center: Children’s Center for Success is looking for a highly qualified Pre-K Teacher to join our team of professionals. Our center leads in quality care and programming for our children. We firmly believe all children can be helped to reach their potential through ongoing positive encouragement and daily support of their successes. Our center focuses on the Social/Emotional Development of children by building relationships using Teacher Child Interaction Training and Pyramid Model.

Responsibilities:

The Teacher must be able to perform the following:

Oversees the direct care, safety, and learning of all children in the classroom
Work together as a team with a co-teacher in an early childhood environment
Record observations and assessments
Create an engaging environment using positive language and praise
Implement developmentally appropriate practice through lesson planning
Follow all state day care regulations
Work towards being certified in the Pyramid Model and Teacher Child Interaction Training and then be able to model
Be willing to work in a multicultural classroom setting
Enroll in CPR and First Aid training

Qualifications:

Desired Requirements: Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (Birth-2) or (Birth-6) or Early Childhood Special Education or its equivalent; Preferred minimum 1-year lead teaching in a Pre-K classroom in a NYS OCFS licensed childcare center.

Minimum Requirements: Pre-K Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate; Minimum of 1 year of teaching in a Pre-k classroom in a NYS OCFS licensed childcare center.
